  • With Youtube, myspace, and facebook, most people were hesitant at first but eventually joined. Basic acclimation psychology. But Twitter's different. A lot of people are refusing to use it, and continue to refuse even as Twitter goes down the backside of the popularity curve, where we'd normally expect late-adopters to pick it up. They're not, for the most part. Why? Because it's philosophically offensive and people know it inside, especially as business whores like this guy are now raiding it.

  • Twitter sucks!

  • Comcast CEO Brian Roberts total compensation for 2010 : $31.1 MILLIONS. Steve Burke : $34.74 MILLIONS. More THEY make, more Premium I have to pay with less service.

  • People who don't like or understand Twitter say: Twitter sucks, but that's the breath of their argument. The reality is everyone doesn't like everything and there are millions of people who use Twitter and find it useful and interesting.

There are hundreds of things it can be used for, for example: If you follow the ISS you get a tweet when they are about to pass over your location, so you can actually "see" the International Space Space with the naked eye with little effort.

  • Brian Roberts I work for you as Customer service rep . All i have to say is that YOU, YOUR FATHER, AND STEVE BURKE are idiots. They should call you larry, moe, and curly.

  • he's sugar coating comcast, its a good service BUT its about 2/3 of the people happy, so thats 100 million unhappy which is fair bcuz they can restrict how much data can be recieved through ur router

  • I don't know anyone who is on twitter - is it mostly for celebrities?

  • TWTR replaced livejournal. Ppl i know who still use LJ only do so either to post weird photos, links to weird websites/videos or let people know they've just updated their "real" website.

I DO think people are taking it too seriously. But also; the people who "hate it and refuse to use it!!" or those who find it, as :planetdarwin: so eloquently put it "philosophically offensive" (gimme a break) are just as lame as the people who're hardcore w/ it.

  • Twitter reminds me of everything I've ever hated.

  • re:Muchodelcrazy

Twitter reminds me of people who love to hear themselves talk, but don't care what anyone else has to say. Twitter provides the ultimate platform for anyone who is more interested in blabbing than in listening or learning. :(

  • And, idk, Twitter is just LESS. It doesn't do anything or have any uniqueness to it. At least facebook was drastically different in setup and function than myspace.
