I'm so sorry to read that this precious one has 'gone off and on.' So too has my basset. What a beautifully bred dog this one was, as was mine. God bless this awesome breed and those who keep the breed up to speed ( as it were ).

They are a breed like no other. They have such a way about them that they get into your heart. I lost my Buddie Hound just three months ago and my life is not the same. I had him 10 years and raised him from a pup. I got a nother to keep him company why I was away and she has not been the same without him. I will always have a basset in my house. The bark alone lets people know that they are there. I know all the pain that your heart goes through and I send a big basset kiss and hug to you.

Aww how precious. I am so sorry for your loss. My basset passed away on 9/9/11 at 15 years of age. I had him from the time I was 8 all the way until 23. Best part of my childhood :) My parents house will never be the same without him. Bassets can truly make life magical <3
