ESPN televised the finals of the 1996 International Eliminator, and what a final it was. Former touring pro Purvis Granger met future ABC hall of famer Don Scudder in a tremendous match. If I could get half the carry these guys had in this match I'd average 250. Part 2 of 2.

what a horrible match.
anyways, when you just got back from bowling, rolled the ball better than you have in the past YEAR, do not carry ANYTHING, and then watch this shit, you get PISSED AS HELL.

Lionking is correct about Purvis making the show again. He finished 3rd. Kurt Bogner was the champion in 1997.

Straighter is definitely greater in these megabucks events. Still I haven't seen so many nose hits carry like that especially with all the money on the line - crazy stuff. Purvis made the show again the next year and finished 3rd I think.

It looks like Granger is getting a lot of breaks because it looks to me like his ball is hitting at it's maximal energy state. Like the ball is hitting the pocket right after it grabs the lane and it doesn't have a chance to roll out. I wish I had the kind of ball reaction + lane that is conducive to that reaction everytime I bowl.
