Chicagogeorge... I deleted your coment by mistake. You said Epirus is the origin of Greeks. Illyrians immigrated south... That makes Greeks Illyrians.

Either way. We will never know enough of what happened and why. So I think we should appreciate each other for who we are today.

Today even Greeks are a mix. Albanians, Bulgarians, Anatolians, etc.

balkanic music is all very similiar, same race of people, same lifestyle, plenty of cultural contact etc, so just enjoy the music.
