This song is based on Bilaskhani Todi Raga. This was invented by Bilaskhan when he visited his father home to express his sad feelings after Tansen's death. Vilas Khan had fallen in love with this brothel girl who was beautiful and wonderful singer. Tansen kicked them out. But fell ill because of separation and eventually died. Vilaskhan visite his father's dead body and created this Raga. It is a raga with sad overtones. Thus it got its name as Bilaskhani Todi. Miyyaa Ki Todi's variation.
