The washington police estemated the crowd at 1.2 million. And who cares if fox news was prompting part of the crowd to cheer on que. They were on TV. They were playing along. The fact that they showed up says it all.

The reason the system was so fragile was because it was filled with positive feedback loops--situations where the failure of one instrument triggers a clause in another that put yet more demands on the equity etc. If A is insuring B, B is insuring C, and C A, then nobody is really insured. The billionaires with the cash would be the ones holding all the assets when the dust cleared. Most would lose, but a few would win it all simply by being lucky enough to get the assets that recovered fast.

The revolution is inverted. It's coming from the top down. What was hoped to be a robust communications tool to build a more uninterruptible military has turned into the neurogenesis of a global meta-government. Now all governments are struggling to undermine that inevitability by engineering the infrastructure to capture our political capital themselves--before something else does. That's what's actually going on. Now tell us which lesson of history best predicts where this will end up?

I don't understand how 'a forced liquidation of a great many debt portfolios simultaneously' would have overwhelmed the courts. Also with the financial sector absorbing the costs, why would wealth further concentrate in the hands of the worlds elite billionaires who are by in large fueled by the very same financial sector? Wouldn't they take a hit?
TRNN isn't supporting him, they are doing journalism... it's an interview, they don't necessarily support his cause, they just want to know his position.

I wish people would understand this! Especially because TRNN always keeps their reporter skepticism in interviews! They're a good news group!
