Early this fall, CitiCenter for Performing Arts in Boston approached the Nantucket Dreamland Foundation with the idea of creating a flash mob on Main Street during Nantucket's Christmas Stroll. With the help of their choreographer, Courtney Falite, the Dreamland's Director of Programming, Donald J. Dallaire, organized over 75 Island residents of all ages through more than two months of rehearsals. The outcome was an inspiring, fun filled community dance that filled Main Street with smiles, laughter and sheer excitement right before the arrival of Santa.
We thank CitiCenter for their inspiration and their talent. We look forward to much more programmatic collaboration with them in the future. We thank our dancers who worked so hard to deliver such an outstanding performance. Keep your eyes open, you never know where we'll pop up next.
Terrific, Ken. Ah, those islanders. I looked for myself in the crowd and then remembered that I live in Falmouth.
