blue man group used just ping pong paddles... doesnt sound to good unless the pipe is so long that its loud enough to block of the paddle's sound

@tmweb95 They actually use paddles similar to mine; I created and based these paddles off of a pair of theirs that I own. But yes, they have better quality paddles and microphone capabilities.

@snubbyj yours look like they are made out of thongs (from aus, not the underpants kind) so they bend around the top of your pipes and create a better seal for better sound. you really have a brilliant setup :D
