I know a video where a 22R still started with 3 holes in the engine block. It was gruesome, you could see the innards. Crank shaft, piston, etc.

@KiroTheGreat i had a 22r once they are almost indestructable, in fact i purchased a 2004 tacoma it has the newer version of the old 22r they just swapped around a few things and added sum aluminum. 160,000 miles and all ive had to buy is a few sets of brakes a couple sets of tires and one battery thats about it

I have seen many motors run with a thrown rod-Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Honda, etc. Any well maintained engine will run even after having a thrown rod. I almost bought a chevy v10 excursion until the guy started it...
