Utley Homers Twice, Phils Win Series Opener

Chase Utley hit a pair of solo home runs, and Cliff Lee struck out 10 Yankees, as the Phillies won Game 1 of the World Series Wednesday, 6-1. Utley has reached base in 26 straight postseason games. Game 2 of the Series is Thursday in New York. (Oct. 29)

@miketehbomb So you're arguing that other big hitters never strike out looking? I hate to break it to you but every hitter strikes out one in a while. Phillies didn't have Cliff Lee in the pitching rotation last year but Roy Halladay was Cy Young winner, Roy Oswalt had a 1.74 era with the Phils that year and Cole had a 3.06 era for the year. Cliff Lee had around a 3.0 as well. Not to mention that last pitch was a ball on a full count.
