Ponteio is a kind of finger picking based on the music of the drylands of the North East of Brazil.
Celso composes for both solo guitar and ensemble. His remarkably innovative compositions are infused with his rich knowledge of the traditional music of Brazil: samba, chôro, baião, frêvo etc.
This is the first piece from a little suite, titled Ponteios (bridges) by the Brasilian Celso Machado. A tender little theme which resembles Brasilian folk music. It's the most traditionally sounding piece from the suite.
It belongs to the collection Ponteios Brasiliennes, available at music publisher Henri Lemoine
Obrigados to Ovidiov for the inspiration. You are the best!

Very nice. I´m from south Brazil, but I know what a good ponteio is. Congrats!
Did you already listened "Almir Sater", or "Mazinho Quevedo"? They´re the greatests violeiros (12 strings guitar player, were you do the Ponteio).
Thanks showing our music.
