There are now 25,000 registered Sudanese refugees in the north African country but it's estimated that between one and four million live there. While registered refugees have access to basic healthcare and education many say they are discriminated against because of the colour of their skin. They are also seen as a burden in a country where at least 43 percent of the population live on less than US$2 a day.

This video short profiles the problems faced by single mother Victoria Achol Jaal. Her daughters have been abused and harassed, leaving her no choice but to keep them at home.

  • Welcome Home my sisters , Welcome Home my children, Welcome Home my Everything.

    Egypt is yours.

Egypt was yours and will be always yours.

AFRICA PLEASE STOP CRYING , I TRY TO REST IN PEACE.

  • @aljiihad Isn't the oil wealth coming from the south. Why then is this wealth not distributed equitably?

  • @samy16dz : yeah right

  • wow that girl speaks really good masri for only being there 3 years. she even said 'aho' lol. May Allaah aid these poor people and grant them sabr.

  • 11 kids????? Hence the problem!

  • Well since your gov is so good, why dosen't it acquire some morality and find a way to help the south that seems to be so dependent on them. Why doesn't your gov teach, to make sure the south will stand on it's own.

You can claim your gov is good, but the gov and yourself have proven what kind of people you are and I can assure you, it's nothing good.

  • Why did she have 11 children?

  • its really sad seeing them like this...

the own country is dangerous for them and they try to go to other countries but it just gets worse. I was bron in Kenya and when i was 7years old my family came to Australia. Its a great country and theres alot of freedom with no suffering. Iam Southern Sudanesse but never hav i seen it..my mum cares more about my way of living and she has all the right and now I see why I was not home birth in my own country...I wish her and her kids all the best in life

  • These living conditions are just terrible. what a shame that people should be treating each other like that.
