Visitors to this memorial site get to see first hand, the battleship shipwreck just below the surface with parts of the ship still leaking oil from the haul.

  • It's sad when you go there. When you see the oil drops come up to the surface, it's like it's the tears of the ship. Very moving.

  • I went there, they showed a film and it was interesting..... There were lots of fish in the ship

  • shouldnt anyone get rid of the oil i know its a tomb for over 1,000 sailors but am pretty sure its also a tomb for some fish too

    remove the oil fish dont like it D:f

    (and i dont give a fuck if you say their just fish)

  • Retired MCPO. Once attended a relistment ceremony here for 5 sailors in 1997. A Sunday morning at sunrise, long before all the tourists arrived. One young 3rd Class Petty Officer with tears in his eyes (must have been no older than 19) turned to me and said " They are not gone. They are still keeping watch on these decks". I will never, never forget that.....
