In Japan several years ago gay videos of men wrestling were used as bait-and-switch, kind of how we used Rickrolls. People started making edits of the videos for fun and finding out more about the actors and more movies they were in got uploaded too. More and more videos got made and editted and eventually it became a giant meme, with these sorts of compilations being released on the new year and on Billy Herrington's birthday: 7/14.

It pisses me off that a 10 minute video on YouTube with clips from gay porn set to music from video games and other memes has higher production values than many major motion pictures.

I'm just floored at how well these come out, considering they're not really much more than Japan's version of a YTPMV.
