Eskimo roll with Impex Mystic kayak

My first roll attempt since I learned in a pool 7 years ago, and my attempt in open water. So clearly the Mystic is easy to roll! Video taken by Leslie Nicholls.

yes, that roll sucked, and your critique is valuable. But it still worked, even though it was my first attempt since taking a roll class 7 years earlier, so people should have confidence they too can roll a kayak.

perfect example of how not to finalize the roll. Freeze the playback at 10 seconds and not that his head is the first thing out of the water, note the huge effort it takes to complete the roll.

Remember the head is the last thing to come out of the water.

All that said he is still breathing!
