I think you guys crossed a big line here. Cruelty is all well and good in the name of black comedy, but this is cruelty with no actual punch line. Ergo, no comedy.
At the very least you could have given the evil boy some kind of comeuppance at the end. As it is, I don't feel like laughing. I just feel sick and depressed.
