This video is dedicated to my colleagues in Spanish class who don't have a clue about South American-Latin culture. They could not Identify Gardel or Che and one did not know Vietnam was liberated in 1975 with a loss of 5 million innocent lives. Oh woe is me when you live in a place like Sydney where the only culture is football & rock, they must think Tango is new a E-mail program LOL.

It is really appalling when the Murdoch's (such swines) hijack the population to believe culture is Big Brother& the Moronic Survivor along with the tired cops shows yet again telling us America is the policemen of the world with the same tiring theme"America saves the world yet again. Add that to a xenophobic city like Sydney(now known as being the dullest city in Aust along with arguably the most uninformed city in Australia and you have a cultural backwater-Pronto!!!

Anyway this is for you, colleague students of Spanish vocational. First there is 2 types of Tango, actually three. The first is traditional tango which is for dancing the sensual tango-see Gardel along with Battistela. But then there is new Tango and this art form is for listening, this tango sytle is highly experimental and intense from what I have seen in BA with Artists like Victoria Polti and a band called Senistra lead by a Ms Bellaconi it is just amazing work. Then there is Tecno Tango-don't like it, but thats a personal opinion.
This Orquestra play Outstanding traditional music like this superb album is called "Cabulero" and is one of the most famous in the Tango world. Tasteful and supreme is not enough this describe this crew. For the best musicians and tango in Argentina see:http://almatango.com.ar

  • i love it when someone takes the time to explain things like you did. It just enhances one's perspective;))

  • El Arranque, es una orquesta excelente,

equilibrada y con muy buenos músicos.

  • I invite you to see in you tube, the "Ramiro Gallo quinteto".

Ramiro Gallo was El Arranque's first violin, arrenger and musical director, from 1998 to 2006, and now is a well known tango composer.

    Enjoy it!

  • Thanks!

  • Oh, and this Cabulero version is nice, but try to find the Cabulero version made by Osvaldo Pugliese. That's my favourite one!

    Greetings from Buenos Aires!

    (and sorry for my english)

  • I've read your description

and let me tell you you're one of the first foreigners who actually KNOWS about tango.

It's incredible to find someone from abroad who can differentiate between Traditional (which here would be called Saloon) and Art (which would be Show) Tango.

I'm truly surprised, it's not very common to find someone like you.

  • Simply the best young tango orchestra in the world!
