Who is the clarinetist??

Excellent piece + Excellent performance. Fantastic!
I think the 2nd movement was overly fast, faster than the 3rd even which was not exactly slow! I love the dynamic accents in the last movement which break up what would otherwise be a virtuoso home run towards the finishing slur. Bravo!

God I love Stravinsky

This is one of the best solos for clarinet i've ever heard (others:"Dialogue de l'ombre double", by Boulez, and Luciano Berio's Sequenza...). It has many of the characteristics of Stravinsky's music: irregular rhythm, folk elements, "catchy" tune, briefness and (at least for the listener) simplicity.

@ellettucin79 tell me about it... >< freakin' 2nd movement

I am learning this piece right now, its pretty challenging

Note wise is great. I'm not feeling the groupings in the second movement. I notice a lot of people interpret the second movement without much of the metric accents. Especially at the end. For those who don't know, the very last line (which has the high G jumps) has a pattern of 16th notes that are beamed together in a 3+2+3+3+4+3 grouping. I'm working on this piece for my senior recital and getting the metric accents in there correctly is killing me.
