I saw David Ford back in 2005 when he was supporting Tegan & Sara in London. Been hooked ever since, what an awesome musician!

Using fuck doesn't show a lack of ability to express himself, it shows his complete understanding of his feelings. He is the miserable fuck. That's the point. This song is meant to express his life and feelings at this time. If you have heard any of his other songs, you will know that he is a very honest artist who has an incredible ability to express his difficult feelings through the lyrics. If anything, the use of swear words only increases the potency and emotionality of the song.
