*With Joe, Nick and Kevin in the back lounge*
Joe: Okay, well, *in a whisper, since the girls are right outside the door* I think it would be a really good idea to introduce Melissa to our agent*
Kevin: Uhh, any why would want to do that?
Joe: Cuz, I heard her sing today, and it was beautiful!
Nick: Uhm, Joe? I think you may have been a little biast (sp?? do you even know what I'm trying to say? idk how 2 spell tht, lol)
Kevin: Yeah, Nick is right, I think that we should hear her too, before we decide anything.
Joe: Okay, well I'll go ask her, meet me on stage in 5 minutes, bring Ashley and Sophia.
Kevin: Okay, see you there, bro.
*Kevin and Nick leave, and Melissa comes in*
Melissa: Nick said you wanted to see me?
Joe: Yeah, I did. Listen, I have a favor to ask you.
Melissa: *looks at him confused* Okay, what do you want?
Joe: For you to sing for my brothers...
Melissa: *gulp* Why?
Joe: I just thought you were so good when you sang to me, so I wanted my brohters ot hear you! *he hoped she bought it. He didn't want to tell her about the possible record deal, because he thought that she might get to nervous.*
Melissa: *nervous* Uhh okay...I suppose I can.
Joe: Great! *He kisses her quickly*
Melissa: Joe, Joe, Joe...
Joe: What?
Melissa: If you're gonna kiss me, I'm gonna have ot teach you how. *She grabs his collar and pulls him closer to her. the two kiss for about 30 seconds, then pull away*
Joe: *smiling* Well, thanks for the lesson, I'll remember that next time...
Melissa:*also smiling* You better...
*the two leave, Melissa walks onstage, and Joe goes and sits in the front row with the others.*
Melissa:*everyone can tell that she's nervous.* Heyy guys...
Ashley: C'mon, Meliss, you can do this!
Melissa: *smiles at ashley* Got the news today/doctor said I'd have to stay/a little bit longer/and I'll be fine...
*she finishes the song with tears in her eyes. She looks down and sees that Nick's eyes are puffy, too.*
*Joe thought Melissa's tears were soft and that she had just done that cuz of the song, but then he looked closely, and she looked genuinely sad. He jumped on stage with her and ran to give her a hug*
Melissa: I'm sorry...
Joe: Don't be.
*He takes her backstage and sits on a small couch with her*
Joe: *when Melissa stops crying* That was beautiful, Melissa.
Melissa: Thank you. I'm sorry that song just means so much to me, because....
Joe: Why?
Melissa: Well, a couple years ago, I was diagnosed with...
