Hello TOmmy!
I`m from Argentina. I just bought a Tascam Portaministudio 07 this weekend with my Girlfriend, and we want to record some songs with my guitars and his piano....
but I can`t find the way to record! I mean, it's late, and Im still trying (and this machine is not onna vince me! ) but I cant get it... And unfortunately, I bought this to a guy who didn't have the manual for it....
could you please contact me so I can ask you some things? PLEASE!
Thanks!

I have this 4 track and suddenly it just started rewining/fastforwarding and playing very slowly, making my recordings sound underwater and shakey. Does anybody know how I can fix this? I love using it so I'd really appreciate it if anyone has some advice. Thanks.

ohhh ok, well thats ok, and i may do that, but as long as i can still do panning and basic EQ inside the tascam too.

how do you get the recordings into a computer?

@rayolacer He uses a program called AUDACITY, you can download it, it is free.

when u say "then you mix them in your recording program"...does that mean that you mix it OUTSIDE of the cassette recorder? like on software or something?

@tiddlywinks98712, Yes using "Audacity" on the computer.

oh ok, thanks, just one more question if u have time to answer. how can you mix in audacity and have it alter what is on the tape? or is this just if u are using the tascam to get the sound onto the final track on the PC?
cheers

The sound is mixed in the Tascam, setting levels, etc. and than sent to the computer.
He records flat and IF he wants to boos or cut bass or treble he can do that in Audacity.
