Nov. 14 - Dr. Mitch Sollenberger participated in the first panel of the Hauenstein Center's conference, "George W. Bush: Legacy & Lessons." The panel explored "Presidential Power and the Bush Presidency," and Fisher talked about "Executive Privilege: Bush and Presidential Secrecy."

Dr. Mitchel Sollenberger is assistant professor of political science at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. He has recently authored a work on congressional power and the presidency entitled "The President Shall Nominate: How Congress Trumps Executive Power" (University Press of Kansas, 2008). Dr. Sollenberger has also served as an analyst in American National Government for the Congressional Research Service in the Library of Congress. In addition, he is a member of the American Political Science Association and a reviewer for the Political Science Quarterly. Prior to arriving at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, he accepted teaching positions at George Mason University and Bowling Green State University. Dr. Sollenberger did his undergraduate work at Fairfield University, majoring in politics. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. in politics from the Catholic University.
