@ThaDoctaofMedicine actually, four years passed between WCIII and WoW. Dalaran was under a barrier the whole time, getting rebuilt.

@gso619 It is possible that he can magically increase his body size, or it was affected by power of the tree.
I mean, he is not the usual material being after all.

@fandaal mabey that was his ultimate form or something, like demon hunters in warcraft 3 and warlocks in WoW can turn into demons
