well, it's been a while (2 years), and I finally have an answer:
it's none of the above: it was in fact an un-numbered unit, disbanded in 1763, called the South Carolina Independent company: it was, as the name suggests, regulars raised for the defense of South Carolina.

1-yeas, the uniform is from the 1750's
2-looks like a green regiment, so either, the 55, the 45, or other. 45 and 55 come to my mind fasters.
