Incredible playing and so interesting a format...the US TV Talent Show!!!
Michael's playing was such a big part of my study time in Toronto. It may even have contributed to me switching to viola!!!

Probably under-rehearsed. The ensemble is a beat off from 1:18-1:24, plus a wrong entrance @ !:46. And the band pushes and pushes him in the last 8 bars.
Remember Milton Berle was televisions #1 star and this was a wonderful showcase for Rabin's talent. So what if people tuned in for Berle and, I guess., his guest star Danny Thomas..........

Tricked vid? He did'nt play everything!!!! And What a vid?!!! can't beleive this is from 1951!!! Funny, he looks as if he was blind... lol (not attacking him, just opinion and observation...)

I think he's happy every time he plays. Especially if he's doing a television performance.

Hello tenortobe! How interesting you should mention Rabin's THAIS Méditaion - to me, this rendition is nothing short of a miracle. Rabin was to the violin what Lipatti was to the piano - an angel whom God just couldn't bear to do without for too long.
