SHIVOHAM a primary MANTRA of SHAIVISM which means Shiva I am (Shiva-Aham). It expresses the inner experience of knowing oneself as that Self (ATMAN/CHAITANYATMAN) which is identical with the pure awareness personified by SHIVA. This experience of self comes out of an inner dis-identification from all the countless elements that make up our ordinary, limited experience of ourselves and our world - and an identification instead with the pure awareness of each and every thing we experience within and around us.

You must also take into perspective of Buddhists whose path have been eliminated from India due to the fusion of Buddha in the Hindu Religion. Most Buddhists have no conception of God as an Ultimate reality, therefore placing Buddha in this vid only encourages the elimination of Buddhism as a way of thought and just another path of Hindusim, which it is not. I am all for meditation and peace, and becoming one with whatever it is, but I also know that presenting facts is important as well.

Dear brother, one percieves heat with relative to cold, light with relative to darkness, virtue with relative to evil..similarly all these arguments that shiva and buddha are different arises when u differentiate..from the highest standpoint of view all that exists is Oneness

I resonate to Shivoham, and Shiva as well, in the same way that I resonate towards the verse "I am that I am" and the sense of Oneness... free of dualism. I believe that whilst we need to respect differences, we also need to look beyond the labels and see the connecting factors in all beliefs.

I do not believe (personally) that Buddha would be offended by having his image placed next to a Hindu Mantra. If people benefit from it, then it is a good thing.
