Hey there, Marshall here again, Found a great amp for $140.00 new on Ebay. Its a Hifonics HFi1000.1D Class-D Amp Mono. Puts out a true 1000rms @ 1Ohm. There is the next model up that put out 1500rms @ 1Ohm as well for $180.00. I LOVE HiFonics amps. Ive used them for the past 15 plus years easy. Thinking about the bigger just to run cooler and not as hard. What minimum gauge cable do you think I would need for the amp and the speaker cables?

I have a question. I have a pair of RF punchHX2 with DVC,s that I wired into a series parralell configuration and bridged the voice coils so the impedeance is to be at is 1 Ohm. I have a temporary amp and its a Boss BAUS250...I know...dont laugh. It claims to put out 300x2 rms or 600 rms a 1 Ohm. I find this hard to believe but the specs are right on the amp. My point is that I want to max these things out to hit as hard as they could. . What should i do?

powerpunchhx2 Thank you so much for the reply my friend. For me it gets confusing sometimes when your running DVC,s. My 2 12,s are 4 Ohm so was that a wize choice to configure them to 1 Ohm? I know on each sub its says 500rms...does that mean 250 for each voie coil? Thats where things started getting confusing for me trying to find the right amp. So If I understand you correctly, I just need to find a 1 Ohm stable mono block that puts out 1000RMS and Im in business?

@Marshall6971 yes 1ohm yes its 250 per coil.yes an true 1,000 rms amp will do some good even an true 800 rms also will be just time @1ohm
