Reviewed: Sonic The Hedgehog (1, 2, 3, and Knuckles) part 2

Reviewed by cjszero01. Originally I wanted to do this before I reviewed Sonic 4 Episode 1, (the review for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 can be found on www.push-start.co.uk or on cjszero01's channel) but better late than never. This review was so huge that it wouldn't let me upload the whole video and instead I had to put it into two parts. The first part covers Sonic 1 and Sonic 2. The second part covers Sonic 3, Sonic and Knuckles, and the scores. The only thing missing is the bonus ending which should be uploaded on cjszero01's youtube channel, I'd apologize for that but really I'm not the one who made those limitations.

Sonic The Hedgehog 3:

Pros: Each character has their own abilities, Elemental shields are AWESOME, Nice maze-like bonus stage, Transitions between zones, You can save the game.

Cons: I felt that the levels were easy and there weren't as many of them as the previous games, The save system in this one felt a bit unnecessary, I'm not a fan of the whole soundtrack, Too many gimmicks such as the spinner, Sometimes it feels like the levels play themselves.

Sonic and Knuckles:

Pros: Levels are more challenging than Sonic 3, Two different endings, Knuckles adds a lot of exploration to the game, Can be played with other Sonic games for special bonuses.

Cons: On it's own it's just as short as Sonic 3, Most bosses are still pretty easy, SANDOPOLIS ACT 2.

Hydrocity is still my favorite stage out of any sonic game. I like the first 2 levels in sonic 3 but the rest are boring. Ice Cap was okay but too repetitive. All the levels in Sonic and Knuckles are done superbly and lots of fun to play especially sandopolis stage 2.

I tried look up a video of Sonic and Knuckles 1st boss on YouTube, but that didn't happen. Anywho, I'm just curious since you managed to get 100% on these games and wanted to know if you noticed Knuckles' levels being any harder.

Hey CJ. When you played Knuckles' levels in Sonic & Knuckles did you notice if they were any harder than Sonic's? I did my research on wikia (if that's research lol) and they support some of the things I remember. EggRobo is trickier than Eggman. For example, the first boss bottle has you jumping over spiked logs while fighting Eggman/EggRobo. Sonic only avoids one at a time, and Knux sometimes dodges two for instance. Also I could have sworn my PC version mentioned harder levels for Knuckles.
