  • Gosh this takes me back! I was lucky enough to be McRae's co-driver on this event. Not only did we win this event but we went on to win the British Rally Championship too!!

  • Love the 80's manx rallies. Serious quality driving there.

  • cool

  • That Rover is a beast!

  • What is the top speed that the rally cars reach in this event?

  • What is the weight, power and top speed of this Opel Manta 400 rally car?

  • wish i was born to have witnessed this kind of racing

  • @buckyohare420 lol your right, it was the weight of a modern cruise liner, I'll bet it was good fun to throw around.

  • @SPYDOC1 I think it was a bit heavier than that lol

  • Tony Pond gets 5 top stage times in the rover vittesse , (10 yards long 5 yards wide, 15 tons of british pride.) Thats an awesome drive in that car, respect to the late great Tony Pond.

  • Those were brake lights. He was doing a little rolling-burnout for the crowd.

  • Hachiroku and 930 in the same race? those are my all time favorites ! Tony Pond is amazing cause that Rover seems like a very difficult car since its huge and has a V8, then again all ive driven at the limit is lightweight 4 cyl cars (240SX and AWD Civic)
