@msg355 You do! (So do I and it's definitely out of tune)!
-
@sll10 it's perfectly in tune..i have perfect pitch, and i would know...
-
He understood Chopin's heart so well.

La clarté dans les traits rapides et le velouté de la touche sont difficiles à battre.

@markarama23 Thanks!

@sll10 It was on APR's CD set of Lipatti's 1947 London EMI Recordings, and is now on a Japanese label, Opus Kura...

Shame recording is so out of tune...however, this is from the greatest performance of the waltzes on record imo.

Yes and no. Dinu Lipatti recorded 14 valses in Genava in 1950. This One is recorded in London in 1947 at Abbey Road Studio. The piano must be a very good Steinway B 211. A rare recording.

@GiovanniEMB Actually it's Steinway 299 ;-) Great piano! And of course great playing!

@markarama23 Thank you for the piano number. 299 is very low. At this Time, for a Pianist, a Steinway was a very personal thing. For example the Steinway of Edwin Fisher is by the family of a pupils.
