http://www.synergy-athletics.com/freebonus - It is extremely important to warm up the lower body muscles and incorporate mobility work into your leg workouts. This exercise warm up series includes:
- Foam Roller Series
- Bodyweight Squats
- Leg Swings
- Hip Thrusts
- Knee Circles

- Bird Dogs
- Burpees with knee tucks
and more exercises.

This warm up has been great for dead lift and squat routines. Many athletes see a quick improvement in numbers after using this warm up series. I will post an entire video with explanation over at http://www.synergy-athletics.com as a newsletter bonus.

  • Awesome video. Is there anything to replace the foam roller series?

  • Yes, use a tennis or lax ball on your glutes (I believe Joe Defranco has a video on this) and do the same by hand to massage out your quad and it band some. Not quite the same, but still very effective!

    I have been doing the same routine (which I saw on Joe D'S Super Strength DVD) before each lower body work. The results I got from it during my workouts are amazing. Foam rolling is a must do!
