@bigguy4570 Carl tragically died Feb. 6, 1988 from brain and lung cancer. He was only 51. The Beach Boys as we knew them died that day, too; although the music lives on forever.

Growing up in so.cal in the early 60's (grad HS '65) I got to see ALL the great surf groups one time or another...it was the BEST time and place ever to grow up...fast cars, hot girls and tasty waves. I would give anything to go back and do it all over again.

man The Beach Boys were the first real garage band with vocals and music chops. Denny was no slouch either
