In Ulhas Raiver Estuary youngones are trapped in plastic garbage and die of unknown reason. Recently mudskipper fishing based on this species namely Boleopthalmus dussumieri, has declined considerably due to pollution in the river. These mudskippers are highly demanded for its taste, nutritional and medicinal values which is dwindling to miserable condition due to negligence of us.

Thanks for watching and giving valuable comments. By the way which species of mudskipper are you working at present?

  • Funny thing is, on the other side of the planet (more precisely, where I'm right now) I'm willing to pay 150 USD for a single specimen of mudskipper, and have already spent some money building a proper paludarium for it. While in India, they can be found among waste..

    aniway, thanks for the video!
