450 RC Helicopter crash. Wrong switch

I bought a new helicopter version of the DX7 transmitter. I had been using the Airplane version of the DX7 transmitter to fly my HDX450 helicopter. I changed my HDX450 helicopter over to fly with my new Helicopter version DX7 transmitter. There are two switches that are in different positions on the transmitters. The gear switch that controls the gyro from heading hold to standard mode and the flap 3 position switch that controls normal mode to inverted mode. So I was going to switch from heading hold to normal mode except I switched from normal to inverted flight mode.

It is repaired but does not fly right yet. I think i need to replace the gyro.
