  • Oh and i forgot:

"eine Könnigin unter den Bieren" means something like "A Queen under the Beers".

  • @roylandyard

That sounds about right for the taste of the beer.

  • Better than Keith's Dark and Waterloo Dark, but that's about it. Good review.

  • @elharlock

Thanks, this was yet another beer at the NSLC that I'm glad I didn't have to buy 12 of.

  • that beer fails

  • I live in Lippstadt near Warstein. Warsteiner has absolutely no tradition in making a dunkeles Bier. That really seems to be NOT a representive beer for the brewery (i havent drunk it yet). The Pils on the contrary is a good beer. Extremly mild but very good.

    Greetings from Germany

It's a great fun word to say. Now that you know it means "dark" you can try throwing it randomly into conversation to weird other people out!

  • @froshmasta I'm gonna level with ya... I didn't know what dunkel meant, and didn't take the time to look it up. It sure sounds funny though!

  • @WonderDuds

It says dunkel on the can and it looks dunkel(dark)... but it didn't tickle my fancy at all. It might be the greatest dunkel in the world and I just don't like the style... who knows... I just call'em like I see'em :)
