Spintronics carry a high potential for findings in the near future which might change our everyday lifes, thinks Peter Gruenberg. In the interview during the 58th Nobel Laureates Meeting at Lindau he raves about the potential realization of spin-current - a sort of flowing magnetism. Peter Grünberg received the Nobel Prize in Physics 2007 together with Albert Fert for the discovery of Giant Magnetoresistance.
