@jamesvolunteer There is no way I'd take along a cat, dog, or other pet in a SHTF scenario. Way more of a liability than an asset. I have a spare bag of food tucked away just in case, which I'd dump into a large bowl and would get him by for more than a month. I would also fill several mixing bowls, sinks, and bath tub with water for him to drink. I'd leave a window open for fresh air and entertainment. He can shit and piss on the carpet, as at that point I'd have bigger things to worry about.

I've watched alot of bug out bag 'BOB' videos to get alot of different ideas, and so far i love how you put yours together... I myself am trying to get the whole family to make their own, but it s hard to convince them that it's a great idea to have one lol... Please don't delete this video, i'm going to be using it as a refrense guide so i can put my Urban BOB together ^_^ Thanks

Great pack. It's giving me lots of ideas. I have a three day bag on my site but it is for camping and not necessarily emergency. I am working on a bug out bag /home evacuation kit. The difference is that I have a wife and two small children. It will be a while before I get it all together especially with the cost involved. I have a home kit now with supplies, food, water, the usuals but a family bug out bag is something I really want to explore.

@belladonna50481 Yup, water is a must. I have several bottles stuffed under the seat of my car and jugs in my house. I also have the SteriPen and purification tablets in the bag. To fill the bladder, the smaller bags need to come out anyways and there is room for expansion. Shifting and settling is a non-issue.
could you be more specific on the handset for the phone, I didn't get that clearly. Nice USK though. Regards from Berlin.

@Conversus All it is, is a handset from a traditional corded phone. Most homes and businesses in the US have a test/junction box outside. If you open the box you can plug a phone in and make calls without going inside. Again, this is purely for emergencies and is illegal to do without permission.

Better add some cat food.

@SSanf If SHTF, the cat will be the food.

Very good. I like the smaller bags in the larger one. All of the urban survival gear is pretty good. You have plenty of food for 3 days. May want either pills or small medicine container of bleach with eye dropper for water. Really liked the house phone idea. What would you say the dollar amount on the bag is.

@brtndr007 Total amount for the kit or just the backpack itself? Backpack was around $80, and no idea for the entire kit. Easily over a grand for everything. But, I use the contents for camping, etc so it's not like I bought it all at once. In the small red bag, I have a SteriPen and extra batteries for water purification. There are also water purification tablets in there as well for a backup in case the SteriPen breaks.
