taken on September 18th 2008. The river is migrating north at a rate of about a meter per day during this time. The shoal on the near bank is a zone of sediment accretion, and the outer bank is slowly being eroded.
Interestingly, you can see small (10-15 cm) bedforms on the near bank shoal.

I can't really make out the bedforms. The resolution on your camera isn't that good, I think. The image is too pixelated.
