Even if this is legit, there is no way the consumer will ever profit from it.The powers that be would make sure that it somehow ended up costing as much as conventional energyh.
@TheVictor6951 Rossi has admitted that his E-Cat's are not yet ready for electrical generation. Within a year to 18 months is his estimated time for that. This 1MW E-Cat only supplies heat (again, not at the efficiency needed for power generation).
@SH0LVA I tend to agree, as there are investors wealthy enough to spend $ on this, hoping it will work, if it fails, no big loss. I've worked on a couple of wood burning 'generators', with the same questions ( from me) and some investors, but no fully functional prototype yet. The guys running the 'investment' end of the deal have been at it almost 40 years. I did some engineering, and all the layout, machining, welding, electrical/electronics. A lot of Inconel and stainless heat exchangers
@9114steve The videosI've seen of this, and other coldfusion devices in the past 20 years, all use theincoming power to heat a small metal 'catalyst' in a container of mystery water. They measure the heat given off and claim it's free power. Although everything is always heavily insulated thermally, I'm thinking they may actually just be measuring (or mis- measuring) the heat generated by the initial heating of platinum or SS plate/s. If it really worked, run a Stirling, or make some coffee.

It's about clean air and water, not about economics; those are secondary...

One commercial 1 MW E-cat has already been sold and others are currently being manufactures.

@dougspair I'm curious? - How is hot air not usuable?
Do you not want your home to be heated?
Do green houses not need to be warm?
Should swimming pools be cold?
Any kind of heat is good... its just that some producers or heat make higher temperature than others.
