Dan Osman and others, rope jumping off the Rostrum, Yosemite. This was a huge scene with 20 to 30 folks. They had a pulley system rigged up so they could haul up the jumper. Lots of folks jumped the week this was set up.

it's such a testament that this guy only died when the rope broke. he was badass till the end. free, resilient, a realized human, his free climbs for speed didn't kill him. the equipment failed, but his fucking spirit can't be silence, even is his death, and even if we forget him. he lived it as hard as a human can live, as good as a human can live. i feel like his life was so strong, that something about it is not over, even in death

I agree with some comments about fear holding somethings back, one of them being death. Case in point. It seems like delayed suicide from a lot of peoples perspectives. To each his own.

He died at Yosemite ....Don't be sad people like dan fully accept the outcome of their actions. He probably saw it coming for years, Total lack of fear is possibly the best gift a human being can give themselves. You can wield it like a super power. The power just do whatever you want to do. Like some kind of mythical greek god of thunder. I can't even imagine for a second what that feels like. would would you do without fear? how would you live?
