Absolutely necessary in the light-starved generation. We may work to glorify God and not ourselves by pointing to His holiness, not our own. Thank you for sharing.

Augustine defined glory as "clara notitia cum laude" or "brilliant notoriety with praise", which corresponds with what Mr. Piper was saying--that God's glory is the "going public" (notoriety) with his holiness, which leads to His praise.
