*There, standing in the kitchen of the bakery, with an overturned bowl of what used to be dry cookie batter on his head, is Kevin Jonas.*
KEVIN: *His voice muffled from under the bowl.* What. The heck. Just happened?
*Paige can't answer because she is laughing so hard. Kevin lifts the bowl off his head and looks incredulously at Paige, who sinks to floor in fits of giggles after seeing Kevin's brown hair covered in white flour. Kevin turns, glancing at himself in the mirror and cracks up. A minute later the two of them are uncontrollably rolling around in laughter as they sit on the ground, covered in flour. Finally, Paige manages to form a cohesive sentence through her laughter.*
PAIGE: What. Are you. Doing here?
KEVIN: *Still through his laughter.* I was coming. To visit you. Because Brynn said. You might be here. And I thought. That I could surprise you. But I guess. You surprised me!
PAIGE: *Finally calming down enough to gain full control of her speech, but still out of breath.* I really am sorry about that. I honestly didn't know you were here!
KEVIN: *Also calming down.* That's okay. That was the most fun I have had in a while!
PAIGE: And you know how they say that laughing burns calories?
KEVIN: I think we burned up every calorie in our bodies!
*They crack up again. Undercover of Paige's laughter, Kevin picks up a handful of flour and throws it directly at her.*
KEVIN: Ha! Now we're even!
*Paige splutters for a moment, blowing the flour out of her face. Then she ducks, grabs a fistful of white powder from the countertop and chucks it back at Kevin. Within seconds they are having a full-blown "snow-ball" fight in the back of the Muffin Palace. Paige giggles and lobs another lump of flour at Kevin as he barrels into her and knocks them both back to the floor, where they lie, covered from head to toe in white, until the can stop laughing. Paige rolls over and finds herself nose-to-nose with Kevin, who smiles at her before sprinkling her with a fine dusting of powder. As he chuckles, Paige couldn't help but notice how adorable his laugh was. And as she lay there, her face only inches from his on the floor of the bakery, she thought about Kevin as a person. He was always happy and optimistic, thoughtful and caring. She suddenly felt extremely glad to have met him.*
*Kevin smiles at her again and sits up, looking around at the dirty bakery.*
KEVIN: Oh, Paige, I'm really sorry...look at this place!
PAIGE: It's okay, Charlie, my boss, isn't coming back till tomorrow, I have time to clean it up.
KEVIN: I'll help you.
*Together, they manage to remove every speck of flour from every surface except themselves. By closing time, both Kevin and Paige are exhausted and covered head-to-toe in flour, but smiling. Kevin takes another look at their dirty clothes, hair, and faces, and grins to himself. He quickly offers to drive Paige home after she locks up. However, she remembers that she had driven to work today, meaning that she would have to leave her car in the parking lot overnight if she went home with Kevin. When she explained this to him, he put on his puppy dog face and begged her to let him drive.*
KEVIN: I will pick you up tomorrow morning and bring you to work, I promise! Pleaseeee just let me drive you home?
PAIGE: *Suspiciously.* Why do you want to drive me home so badly?
KEVIN: *Sighing.* Ugh Paige *Jokingly.* You ruin everything! Okay, okay I'll tell you...I was going to bring you somewhere on our way home!
PAIGE: *Curiously.* Where?
KEVIN: Well I cant tell you that...what fun would that be?
PAIGE: Well I guess I'm just going to have to drive myself home then... *Turns and rummages through her purse for her keys, smiling. She knows that Kevin will eventually tell her, if she pretends to want to drive herself home.*
KEVIN: Wait no! Alright fine I'll tell you. But just so you know... this would have been way better if it was a surprise!
PAIGE: *Grinning innocently at him.* I'm waiting...
KEVIN: Okay...well I was going to take you to this little place in Autumn Park... *He proceeds to explain his plan to her. As he does so, her face lights up and she looks incredulous.*
