Encore performance of my winning 2008 PASIC snare solo "On the Shoulders of Giants." Played before the College Drumline Awards ceremony. I had a lot of fun writing and playing this. Hope you enjoy.

  • This is what rudimental Snare drumming is about in my eyes. A solo not only consisting of visual effects. But a solo with nice rhythmic patterns and enjoyable even without a drumming/musical background.

  • i like how you can hear that person in the beginning ("is my flash off?") hahaha

  • Is my flash off?

  • Technique was ridiculous!!!

  • You should publish this Mr. Allen.

  • wow, gingers may not have soul, but apparently they make up for it in rhythm.

  • Section starting at 2:44 is ridiculous. Daniel's awesome. Great guy to learn from.

  • I marched next to this guy in high school

  • I'm pretty sure this is one of my percussion instructors

  • That was hot :]

  • Dude. wow. Best solo I've seen in a while. Entertaining, visual, technical, and the perfect length. nice.
