Gene Simmons Proposes to Shannon Tweed; Surprise Finale to Family Jewels

Sorry, ladies and gentlemen, Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed are officially off the market—well, maybe. The Kiss frontman got down on one leather-clad knee and proposed to his girlfriend of 28 years on the Season 7 finale of Gene Simmons: Family Jewels. The episode ends without a response from Tweed. The televised proposal comes on the heels of a tumultuous promotional tour where Tweed confronted Simmons over his infidelity, which means that the proposal scene was almost certainly shot long before the couple's very public displays of rancor. Responding to fans after the show aired, Simmons tweeted, "Shannon and I work on our relationship every day. One day at a time." And Tweed tweeted, "We are taking it day by day. Stay tuned."
