Being down 2-0 the Lakers had to come up with something to stay alive in the playoff hunt. The Lakers were humiliated in game 2 when Bowen held Kobe to 9-24 shooting while making 7 straight threes. The Lakers were ran out of town losing by 20 points.

All of that changed in game 3. The Lakers made 13 of their first 17 shots while leading the Spurs 19-4 at one point. Kobe who struggled with his shot the entire series scored over 50% from the perimeter while having an attacking game the entire game. Although he shot a modest 10-23 he had 19 free throws and made sure Bowen wouldn't deny him again. The entire Laker lineup was in double figures as they shot over 50% against the later championship team.

Other game notes: It is also the game where Shaq ran an entire fastbreak running the length of the floor for a monster dunk.

  • Nice titties at 3:34

  • It's hard to define "young Kobe" when was this dude ever young? watching him play even at 19 he was virtually unguardable, by the time he was 24 he was totally ridiculous. and later when he had green light to shoot he shot lights out, in 05-06 that Kobe right there would humiliate anyone on the court I don't care who they are.

he has learned to tone his game down, he is playing very wisely prolonging his career, his skills are amazing hopefully his body will keep up.
