Even though I don't speak Wolof (the dialect of Senegal) at all, I feel what this song is really about. It's about how 'rap/soul/r&b/jazz/reggae/zouk
/meringue/samba,etc' came 'back' to Africa before having to go over the world first. When these music types are mentioned we think of the USA, the Caribbean and Brazil, but not about Africa. Thanks to the media this 'black' music has found its way back to the 'black continent'.
It doesn't matter, but I am Dutch-Tunisian, living in the UK.
