@treetooone Don't worry, during racing time, the engine is sealed. The seal prevents inappropriate use.

@treetooone: they have to have 'driving engines' for many reasons. They need them for getting in and out of slips, marinas and channels. As you can see from this video they need them for safety when the sh!t hits the fan. They cannot be used from start to finish in professional racing. Sometimes they have have to drop a light anchor to prevent drifting backwards when fighting a strong current and doldrums(zero or very light winds).

its not like they turn the engine on when they feel like it.
they have to abandon racing, report they are breaking the seal on the engine, theres all this protocol around using it
