Really cool rock formation on the back side of Beech Mtn, on the NC / TN Border. About a 30 min hike into a gorge. a large creek flowing through to the Watagua river creates multiple waterfalls, whihch over time, have hollowed out deep pockets underwater, allowing for swimming and rock jumping. If you can, climb up the rock faces, you can get to 3 spectacular powerful waterfalls. The lowest is the largest, and you can slide down the slippery rock, and over the falls. I'm guessing the name comes from some mishaps people have had with their landings.
