Its feeding time at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Oprhan HQ. These baby elephants and rhino are mostly orphaned through poaching, being brought to the centre when found alone in National Parks or on ranches.
The orphans are cared for at a Nairobi Centre before being reintroduced to the wild in Tsavo rehabilitation centre. Its possible to visit the Nairobi centre in the morning when the animals are taking their milk and enjoying a mud bath. For more details contact our staff at Real Africa about at the start end of your safari, or to sponsor an orphan please visit: http://www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org
