i had to laugh. thats such a funny/random ending, here i was expecting it to be a wraith or Oberoth and its Beckett, lol

I don't believe he is a replicator or a clone. 1) Michael said he had some "help" with the virus. Carson did perform research on the virus in the episode "Poisoning the Well". 2) The team can easily determine if he is a replicator using the Atlantis scanners. The previews for the next episode don't give any indication that happened and leave some uncertainty about what he is.
